Re: Impromptu Games
I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. A victory by the French has sent the Prussians fleeing to the east. We'll see if we can reverse the catastrophe by taking their side.

I lack proper footware because your brigade took it all.

The Barefoot Brigadier, a fitting nom-de-guerre.
I shall be there today and wearing my "Landwehr Level Imagination Hat".

Re: Impromptu Games
Sorry I wasn't there yesterday. It was too cold for the internet here. I'll be around Friday, weather permitting.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. We'll take the French side against the Prussians. I should be an easy victory. But given that this crew couldn't even beat the Austrians in a pushover scenario, it may be a long day.

Re: Impromptu Games
Yes, yes, yes. 18 cavalry regiments made up of mountain trolls riding wargs. An easy fight.
We did win though, in the last 30 seconds Phil secured the objective. He had to toss some magic ring into a volcano, or some such nonesense. Then some giant eagles flew down and I don't remember the rest. Pretty epic. Someone ought to write a book about that scenario.

Re: Impromptu Games
I plan to be there for the Sunday battle
I would be willing to take in the role of enemy CinC ... a little twist to open the New Year.
And if not an option I shall again lead the way to snatch victory from the jaws of certain defeat ... or more correctly, devise a wonderful plan only to have it fall apart within minutes and then get periodic complaints from my subordinate commanders (especially those at the brigade level)

Re: Impromptu Games
Sunday's battle should be interesting. It will be on one of Crikey's Italian maps, featuring the 1800 Austrian/French OOB. Guess which side we'll be playing. I am confident in my prediction that your plan will be a failure right out of the starting gate, so there could be a mild criticism or two, especially from the brigade commander(s). Heavy sits the crown...

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. An army of men in rags have invaded our territories in Italy. Our Korps has been ordered south to eject this rabble. Everyone will need the newest versions of the KS Napoleon Mod and Supplemental Maps.

Re: Impromptu Games
I was there too. Briefly.
'Twas a most sanguine and humiliating defeat.
Today was a dark day for Austria, I fear that if this young Corsican general no-one has heard of, conducts more fights like today's the Empire's days are numbered.

Re: Impromptu Games
I can play today at the usual time but Kevin is away on a trip to the canyon, so we will need a host. Grog, will you be around?
We could attempt a replay of Sunday's fight and try to do better.

I can probably play this evening. I'll try and figure out how to restart crashed games beforehand if possible

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. After the last humiliating defeat, we'll have to fight with a better army, (really, we need better generals ), perhaps the 1806 Prussians.

Re: Impromptu Games
On Wednesday we replayed the Austrian 1800 "fun scenario" and were royally stuffing the French when the game crashed. We'd have easily secured the northern 2 objectives by the time limit but probably not gained the last one.

This sounds like a pipe dream. I think we need to check the replay.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Despite the obvious propaganda blitz, Friday's battle ended in another tragic defeat. Pat will indeed be allowed a 2nd chance to drag his reputation out of the mud and muck and take another crack at commanding the 1800 Austrians.
