Unfortunately, a Russian division had moved around our flank and was sitting on our LOC. Meh. Another battle, another loss, I'm beginning to feel very Austrian. We'll take the side of the Russians today. Sooner or later the gods of probability must smile down upon us.

I shall be there today. 3-day holiday weekend. Good to boost it mod way with an exhilarating victory over diabolical scenario design. A victory for the people.

Two of our divisions fought gamely while a third watched the battle from a comfortable distance. Something about phantom Austrian divisions swooping down on our LOC... Pitiful. Today we move to the Peninsula and take up the battle against the French.

Oh? A proper Peninsula Army, not one full of Germans and Dutchmen?

The timidity, (a fair translation would be cowardice), of the division commanders led to the French breaking through the defenses of Murcia, claiming the town and forcing the surrender of Gen. Wellesley and his force. Artie has been sent back to Paris in an iron cage for public display while his men are pulling the plunder laden carts of Maréchal Masséna back to Madrid. We'll make another forlorn attempt at a victory today.

I was obeying my orders and crushed all French attacks on my flank. I think the screw-up was elsewhere. Maybe one of Zayas' brigade commanders did not give his Division CO sufficient support and allowed an enemy column to penetrate into the city on his right flank?

The AI troops will be asleep in their tents, all their horses have colic, all the cannons have been dismounted for refurbishing...

I won't be around until about 90 minutes after the usual start time. Begin without me and I will jump into Discord when I get home. If its convenient to stop and let me in to take a brigade I will do that but if you'd rather carry on that's fine too.
