SOWWL Artillery batteries Empty SOWWL Artillery batteries

Post  kuba97cz Thu Jul 11, 2024 11:13 am

Hey guys,

first of all i want to thank you for your amazing mod and maps. I'm really enjoying all parts of it.

However i have a question about artillery batteries. Some of them outright refuse to fire no matter what i do and AI commander just doesn't do anything. When i take another battery that's working and put them in the exact same position, they work perfectly. Some of them simply refuse to do anything.

Am i missing something or doing something wrong? Thanks

It's nothing that you are doing wrong, it's the buggy LOS calculations done by the game engine. Moving a battery just slightly can make a large difference in performance. There is no way to predict weather it will be a good or bad change. These problems are most evident in undulating terrain.
