That "Memory Allocation Error" seems to be the catch-all phrase the software uses whenever the game fails to load properly. I've had it with time formatting on battlescript entries. I did not get it when I needed the new .dll file.... it just crashed and told me to get lost.

Hi Uncle Billy:

I am finally getting around to installing the 3 files to use your mod. I have the Collectors Edition. I have downloaded the first file and that attempted to extract it to the Mods file, where I have previous mod files installed such as the Grog Tool bar V. My game files are located in Program Files (x86) > Matrix Games> Scourge of War Waterloo Collectors Edition> Mods. I am using 7 Zip. When I attempt to extract the KS file I get the following message:

Access is denied
Cannot create output directory: C:\Program Files (x86)Matrix Games\Scourge of War Waterloo Collectors Edition\Mods\KSSpritesMod 107)

Any ideas what I may be doing wromg?

It sounds as if you need to run 7zip as administrator. What I do is this: double click on the 7zip file. That should open up the file. Now drag and drop the folder that is inside into the Mods folder. Do that for all three pieces of the mod. Remember, you can't run the Grog toolbar with this mod.

Hello. Would it be possible for someone to post a new link for the amended SOWAiInf.dll file please? This is the Steam version.

Mine crashes whenever I click on Sandbox or User Scenarios but works if I remove/rename this file.

Hi everyone - I am new to this ; i was just wondering where I can find Patches for this game ? I don't have access to steam or matrix versions (didn't buy them) . Does anyone know where you can get patches for people who don't have the matrix or steam versions (especially now that they are unavailable Sad )

Post your log file. It may give a reason for the crash. You can find it in documents/SowWL. It is named sowwl.log.

It looks like a large number of vegetation graphics have had name changes since that map was created. I've never used that map as it is very small. I suggest you try another one and not use quite so many objectives.

1. Is there any way to turn off the "artillery panic" function?

2. I'm having a consistent problem with "run-time" errors when attempting to use the Borodino map. Anyone else report this?

Slim to none and Slim is out of town. There isn't any great improvement that justifies my trying to port it over. At some point, I will post an updated version of the mod, but it will be for the original game.
