And I would have racked up so many more VPs by having them accidentally shot by my over-protective staff!

Re: Impromptu Games
Is there a game today or Friday?
We have two new players in the campaign, Iriasthor and AWhite92 and it would be good to get both involved in a test or familiarisation game in a relaxed atmosphere vs the AI rather than have their first game be a campaign battle where experience tells us that new player integration can be time consuming (not through anyone's fault, it simply is that way).
Iriasthor and AWhite92 - can either of you make a game at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET / 15:00 EST on either day please? We do not even need a scenario. I can host and we can just sandbox it in order for you to get the feel of things. It would be good to have you both play in the Calatayud game this Sunday but I want you to have MP experience before then, if at all possible.

Hi Digby, thanks for you interest in us! Unfortunately I will not be able to make it today, but I can somehow securely say that tomorrow I will be available if the game is still on .

Re: Impromptu Games
Here is a map and OOB for a scenario I just put together. This game will start an hour later than usual, 21:00 BST, (16:00 EST).
After the destruction of the Austrian depot at Ostrowitz, the French were pushed back south in subsequent fighting. This gave the Archduke the opportunity to reestablish the storehouses. Word of this has reached the Emperor and this turn of events presents him another opportunity to capture more Austrian war material. With the fall of Vienna, the Austrians are quickly running out of means to wage war.
Cavalry patrols have been unable to penetrate north of Neu Nart and Engeldorf. Austrian light cavalry has made all attempts to determine the size of the enemy force impossible. Judging by the size of the cavalry forces present, it can be assumed that Ostrowitz is guarded by more than one division.
Objective:
Capture the town of Ostrowitz with at least 1,000 infantry and cavalry and hold it for at least 15 minutes. This will simulate the burning of the depot.
VII (Bavarian) Corps: Maréchal Francois Joseph Lefebvre (19323 Inf. 4047 Cav. 43 Guns))

Re: Impromptu Games
Yes we played. Miquel did a good job commanding his division for the first time via HITS. Most importantly, we burnt the Austrian storehouses to ashes. I must confess though, the enemy gave us a bit of trouble.

Re: Impromptu Games
It was a nice battle, adequate to get used to the HITS mode.
Although at the beginning I got a bit lost, Pepe and Kevin helped me quite a lot, giving tips and correcting any bad moves I could be doing.
PS: It's Mikel, by the way
