I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. On Tuesday we achieved only a minor victory against a combined Russian/Austrian force. It could have been more, but one lone French division was unable to defeat 4 Allied divisions. Slackers obviously. Rolling Eyes

I have the Campaign scenario ready.. I don't have maps and OOBs ready for players yet, but both CinCs obviously got them... so it would suffice to just provide general map and OOBs to the players.

I am only counting birch tress that my division commander orders me to count.

Jumping into that game mid-stream on my horse as a brigade commander form Kevin, I found myself in the middle of a tall wheatfield where the Russian flags were closer than my own. And the first order I got was to extract my brigade from the firefight. Next order was a general "go west" followed by an order to goto an objective that I did not know was even on the map. I mean what kind of scenario designer puts an objective wayyyyyy up in the NW corner and asks us to move across with flanks exposed the whole way? An evil designer, no doubt.

Unfortunately I will miss today's game. But I will be there ready to go on Sunday.

The only better situation would be if at the restart of the battle, an impending cavalry charge by the enemy was about to envelope you. Now that would have been entertainment. cheers

I will not be around for Sunday's or Tuesday battle.

Well it appears I keep managing to be busy on the days where everyone gets sent to Siberia. I can make it Sunday, and without Kevin there I think a victory is practically assured so I get to avoid the Gulag all the more. cheers

I'm looking forward to the next campaign game when we're all available.

Well we tried the battle again on Friday with very similar results. There are sure a lot of birch trees to count up here. I'll upload the scenario to Discord and you too can count trees.

Perhaps we might have all the players together for the next stop in the PvP campaign? Kevin needs to be taken down a notch. And obviously any news of any possible recent French defeat has been successfully silenced in Paris. Rumors. Falsehoods. Attempting to "steal" our victory as it were. Last I heard, the Russians were on the run and are only now getting the courage up to take us on again.

The French sacrificed two divisions in order to save their others from destruction, (another possible idea for you Pat). Of course they lost all the towns they were to maintain, (things to come Pat).
