Re: Impromptu Games
I can play today at the unusual time, 15:00 EST, 19:00 GMT.
On Sunday, the Austrians managed a marginal victory against the French. That's not too bad considering it was 1800.

I can play today at the unusual time, 15:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. On Tuesday, the army of the Tsar, which he personally commanded, lost the battle. Inconceivable!

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. On Sunday the French were soundly defeated by the invincible alliance of Russia and Austria. Even fighting on a new map could not save the French.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Tuesday's battle was hard fought against the Russians. As expected, the Emperor's forces were decisively victorious.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Sunday's battle saw the French forces achieve a total victory against the Russian/Austrian army around the village of Kriczew, (Klimovitchi Map).

On Tuesday the Russians achieved a fine victory over the French. This was in spite of the two Russian army commanders non-cooperation with each other.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Friday's battle resulted in the Tsar acquiring many new "volunteers" for the Siberian salt mines. It is unlikely that soft cheese and wine will be on the menu, but perhaps they can make due with barley soup and hard black bread.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. In Sunday's battle, we Prussians were unable to eject the French from the Neumarkt region. Better leadership will be required.

I can play but might be a few mins late, as I'm having my 2nd Covid jab. Ouch, it's hurting already!

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Friday's battle was a bit less than a victory against the French. Much less, in fact.

Re: Impromptu Games
I think there were aspects of it that would qualify as a moral victory.
I witnessed some excellent cross-country marching. Was inspired when a courier arrived with my orders from Grog. Felt encouraged when Phil's troops appeared at the top of a steep hill on my left flank. Plus Grog and I had our 2nd covid shots that day and surely deserved the extra beer, much less a victory declaration.
Really hard to discount those moments. And in light of such scenes, the fact that we only took 1 of 3 objectives is hardly a reason to doubt overall victory. We saw the other 2 objectives. Granted they were off a mile or two in the distance BUT The French abandoned them to fight us, so in a sense they were never occupied by the enemy in the first place. I am at peace with such reasoning and will declare it a minor victory overall.

Re: Impromptu Games
Well there was ONE of us who left the battle early at a critical moment to "pick up a friend at the airport"
Not naming names of course
But it wasn't you or me or Miko or Phil or Ehey
