Mike! Wow. I shall be very happy to serve as a brigade commander under your... erm... authority.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. We should have stuck to playing the Austrians. On Friday, the Prussians were completely out maneuvered by the French.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Tuesday's battle was not only an Austrian defeat but also resulted in the loss of Kaiser Franz's women's shoe collection. Napoleon is taller now.

Re: Impromptu Games
Based on my perfectly unbiased and peer-reviewed published findings (I own the publishing company and my dog is an excellent peer reviewer but please ignore that part), there would appear to be a strong correlation between the phrase “defeat” with “Kevin in critical command position”
There is a separate upcoming report in the works assessing causation relative to 5G networks, deworming pills, super bowl results and phases of the moon to Kevin’s performance results, and as soon as we finish it we will readily share with the group.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Friday we tried out a different type of battle, 3 small divisions each made up of only one combat arm, inf. cav. or art. Units were broken in half so we could play at a 2:1 ratio. It was quite a bit of fun. All the infantry and cavalry units were larger than what we are used to. It gave the battle a much grander look. It also required the "division" commanders to work more closely together rather than as semi-independent commands. We did lose, but still great fun.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Sunday's battle saw the near complete destruction of the French forces at the hands of the Russians. Even with you know who on the field, the Russians prevailed.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Tuesday's Campaign battle saw the French race back west towards their LOC with the Russians in hot pursuit. Casualties were moderate. There will be a 2nd day of unpleasantness.

Re: Impromptu Games
I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Friday was another battle at 2:1 sprite ratio with pure inf., cav, and arty divisions. The battle spread over a large area and was impressive to watch, the cavalry charges especially so. Again it required much better cooperation between the players than our usual fare.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Sunday's battle resulted in a successful defense of the hair dye factory frequented by Marshal Ney. R59's first attempt at being CinC was a grand success.

Hi, I'm new to Scourge of War and KS mod, and I saw that you said playing in MP is a good way to learn. Is today a good time for me to join in and learn how to manage troops in HITS mode? Thanks.

Sorry for late response but I have to say that I also found these battles great fun, having commanded on both occasions. For me, bigger formations seem to increase the immersion/realism aesthetic, making formations look [as Martin commented]" less Wargamey".
Commanding was a bit different as it felt more necessary to control the battle by sending more specific/'on the spot' orders to your commanders. This added 'control' felt like I was more responsible and I had to think more about timing attacks and where to site the batteries, although it was good that I didn't feel that I had to follow cavalry charges or site the Divisional batteries on just the correct ground, as I could rely on players to do this.
I was hoping that these games might make simultaneous attacks from Inf and cav more realistic and based on good co-ordination and planning, rather than our usual games where we have much more control of the Division's combined arms.
Looking forward to the next one. Hopefully, someone else next time
Kevin, please could I have some guidance on setting a scenario up on this scale. Will I need a modified OOB?

Re: Impromptu Games
You can just use one of the normal OOBs with the Scenario Generator. Create 3 divisions for the player side, one with just infantry, one with cavalry and one with artillery. For the AI side make 3 or 4 divisions in 2 Corps. Make it a Hunt Them Down type of battle. I wrote a program that can then be used to modify the battle OOB so the btn. sizes are compatible with a 2:1 sprite ratio. I'll put a link to it in the Discord channel. It comes with instructions.

Europe changed its clocks this morning, so I can play today at the unusual time, 15:00 EST, 19:00 GMT.
Friday's battle resulted in the Prussians being ejected from the Verdun region. Whoever said history repeats itself.

I can play today at the unusual time, 15:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Sunday's battle around Eckmuhl resulted in a victory for the unstoppable French. 2:1 sprite ratio may turn out to be their unstoppable weapon. Either that or they need an opponent other than the 1806 Prussians.

I can play today at the unusual time, 15:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Tuesday's battle was a replay of Sunday's scenario. The results were the same, a victory over the Prussian, even though the AI tried a completely different strategy.

I'm behind on the times and didn't realize this was the few weeks where we're out of sync with British Sterling Time. I'd have to leave a bit early today, so instead I'm gonna see if I can't get my weekend work done today and definitely be there on Sunday and Tuesday so that I'm there if there's a campaign battle. I'm itching to get back in the saddle and the near future is looking clearer so I'll catch you guys Sunday.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. On Friday, a mostly German army managed to defeat the hated French at the town of Hostomitz. The battle was fought at 2:1 scale and made for some impressive views. We need a video of one of these battles.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Sunday's battle, another 2:1 sprite ratio, saw a Portuguese/British army force the French away from Santo Domingo and free the virgin there. The rumors were true, there was still one left in the town.
