Preferably from before the unit that didn't rout, routs.
Or not.
We'll have to rename that unit the Schroedinger Musketeers.

Re: Impromptu Games
That has to be the most bizarre situation I've seen in this game. I still have no idea what happened.

It happened under my command. One must expect the unexpected when I'm in charge.

Sunday's continuation of the battle ended in a Russian defeat. However a new battle as the Russians is showing promise. We will finish it today.

Are we waiting for Martin or continuing it from where we left if we've got enough players?

I'll be around about half past the hour probably. I think the game we began on Sunday should be over quickly. Then we can do my 5-player one.

Re: Impromptu Games
I should be able to play for a couple hours today. Sounds like I am taking a brigade nearest the bad guys. It has been a few weeks since I have launched the game. What new stuff should I pull into my files from the current Dropbox?

Tuesday battle saw a victory for the Russian forces in the carryover battle from Sunday. Unfortunately, the winning ways did not continue as the Prussians were able to hold off the French forces NW of Wavre.

Re: Impromptu Games
Hello, I'm new to the forum. I've downloaded the mods and played a bit single player today. Will there be a game tomorrow and is there room for one more?

Re: Impromptu Games
Hello, welcome to the KS forums. We always have room for players, no-one is ever turned away, especially in these difficult times.
We are having a game today at 15:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. We usually gather in Discord a few minutes before the hour. I can get there 15 minutes early as you will need to d/l and install the latest updates - our online group is basically in permanent development and test mode so we are always playing with files added after the most recent version release. We usually run a test of a couple of minutes when new people join to ensure their game is set up properly, so you'll go into a live game with just the host to make sure you can join and there no map or other file problems.
Do you own any of the DLCs? Do you own SoW: Gettysburg and any of its add-ons? We use a lot of the Gettysburg maps re-purposed for SoW: Waterloo but as the basic map 3D structure files (the .lsl files) are copyrighted by Norbsoft we cannot hand these out so it really helps if players who choose to join us regularly buy that game as well. We'll then advise which files you need to extract from it and install into a separate small Gettysburg maps mod.
However, one word of caution to anyone else; please DO NOT go into Discord and d/l the files there without joining us for an online game or at least dropping by to discuss these latest updates with us as some are test versions, some get superseded and so on and your game may do odd things (or your AI may do odd things!) if you grab these files "unsupervised"!

I can play today but possibly only for 2 hours. I have to pick-up a friend at the airport. Although flights have already been cancelled three times, so who knows. In any case, Miko should probably host.

Sunday's battle had disastrous results for France. Better leadership and a guillotine are needed in these dark hours.

I shall be there in alcohol-free mode since going out for a bottle of gin doesn't fall under the heading of "essential shopping." Not yet, anyway...
