I can play today at the usual time, 15:00 EST, 20:00 BST. I think Martin has a scenario on Crikey's Italian map. I have a new dll.

This is a new map. Unless you've downloaded his Solferino 1859 mod you won't have it. I have put together though a stand-alone mod to supply all 3 Italian maps.

Anyone planning to play today needs this:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/sdacvk5zi7uc4op/Italy%20Mod.rar?dl=0

Enable it LAST in your mods list.

EDIT: I have 2 scenarios ready, PvP and Co-op, both on the same map with 1809 Austrians vs French. I played a short game on this map yesterday and discovered it has hills! Kevin will be happy!

Why you put a mod up less then 3 hours before game time is ridiculous.

Because I compiled it a few hours ago and needed to test it. Its not a very big mod. You should d/l it in less than an hour even with your problems with dropbox.

No Martin it takes me 3 hours.

I just found a way around the DB issues with my ISP.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. I think Martin has a PvAI scenario as do I. But I have something even better, a new dll. Cool

Cool
Is it possible that desync yesterday was caused by yesterday's dll?

No, it was a problem in the game engine itself. I had an autosave just before the crash. I ran the saved game attached to my debugger and found the error did not come from the dll.

I'll be there. I have a Co-op game as French against the Austrians on the Italy map we used yesterday. I also have a PvP set up (just a quick bash type game, nothing subtle) using the Peninsular OOB on the new Spain ECF map. I have changed the vegetation so the map uses the UNPACKED Italian vegetation so this would be a good test to see if there are floating trees or floating/submerged troop sprites.

You'll all need some new Spain ECF files but these are not big. I'll give you all a complete new map set just so we all have the same files I'm using.

If people prefer to test and check things outside of the intensity of a PvP game I have also quickly put together a Peninsular game on the ECF Spain map too.

I tested the new Spanish csv. No floating vegetation! cheers I did the same thing on one of the Pipe Creek maps, where there is a profusion of floating trees and soldiers in the air or in the ground. Those went away too! cheers cheers I think we stumbled upon the solution. Packed terrain sprites bad. Unpacked sprites good.

Good news. Now we need to get our hands on a set of unpacked Gettysburg vegetation sprites. I wonder who in the community might have those?

Why do our troop sprites sometimes sink or float on the WL maps? The vegetation there isn't packed...

It's somehow related to the floating terrain. It must interfere with the drawing of the sprites in some fashion.

With the ECF/Spain map just about finished (though lacking forts at the moment) we can test that. I have 2 Peninsular scenarios made up for it, one PvP and one Co-op vs AI; both are Anglo-Portuguese-Spanish vs Frenchies.

Sounds good. I only have a PvP on the same Spanish map we used on Wednesday so I think we need a break from that map.
