Re: Impromptu Games
Sadly I must concur with the charges of the Court Martial. The order to "go south with your cavalry to determine the whereabouts of any enemy" does not also include "... then take your whole division with you and accept battle miles from any of your supports".
We had a fairly desperate battle at the bridge but darkness saved Miko's "thin blue line" from re-enacting an Iswanhdala-like massacre at the hands of a 30+ battalion horde that came up from the south as the game ended.

Now that the purge of the officer corps has been completed, we'll have a battle at the usual time today, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST.

Re: Impromptu Games
I'll be there. I have 2 Co-op games if folks would prefer to - uh - relax.
One is Prussians vs French 1815 at Ligny, the other is a game from my fictional 1815 campaign of Dutch vs Prussians which should be a real test of generalship.

Chance not to be missed. Are we still meeting earlier for the map making tutorial?

Re: Impromptu Games
The new dll has extensive changes and has had very little testing. The guinea pigs will earn their pay today.
I'll be on early for the map making session.

I can play. I have a Co-op game set up - funky Prussians in wigs and silly hats vs the traditional enemy on the new Gettysburg map.

Re: Impromptu Games
The part of the GB map I selected is quite wooded, so if people would prefer fewer trees in order to better see the AI (and your imminent destruction) I've done a second scenario on an open area of the Chattanooga map - same armies. I will let you guys choose whether you prefer a visibly approaching death or a sudden surprise death from the dark scary forests.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. I've got a British vs French PvP scenario for the new G'burg map. I think there may be a new dll too.

Re: Impromptu Games
I'm sure you can make up for this by providing scenario with loads of French elites

Re: Impromptu Games
I am trying to get my new Spanish ECF map into a useable condition. If I can do that in time I'll make 2 quick scenarios, 1 PvP, 1 Co-op.
It won't be completely finished as there's the vegetation to change, rock walls and maybe some work on the underlying bmp but I am learning an incredible amount very fast! I'm sure Phil is too!
