Re: Impromptu Games
The Russians may even set up a grand battery. That would make for a not so grand time.

Re: Impromptu Games
Nonsense. There's nothing like seeing 72 Russian guns lined up hub to hub to make you realize invading Russia wasn't the best of ideas.

Re: Impromptu Games
I'm up for a game today. If we fight the AI maybe we could play those funky early Prussians? Late Prussians are also a nation we rarely play as well so those appeal too.

Re: Impromptu Games
We can give the 1815 Prussians a whirl. That should be an exercise in self abuse. I'll make something up for a game at the usual time today, 20:00 BST, 15:00 EST.

I can be there. Oh wait you said Maybe not.
I really think that Kevin needs to seek some sort of help it seems that he sadistically enjoys watching us masochist play his scenarios.

Re: Impromptu Games
It's all Martin's fault. For the record, I have assiduously avoided using the 1815 Prussians in any scenario. It is only because Martin was stomping his hat and pounding the table that I was coerced into making this scenario. It won't be pretty.

Re: Impromptu Games
1815 Pru v 1815 Pru would be fair then, LOL

Re: Impromptu Games
This made me think about the 1815 Prussian habit of attaching a few squadrons to each brigade. Do we get a silly Prussian cavalry "brigade" of 1 regiment attached to each division? I am assuming we do...

Re: Impromptu Games
The Prussians have massed their cavalry into a separate division for this battle.
With the French being steadily pushed back, Napoleon's capitulation is inevitable.
Von Bulow has been ordered to seize Murcia along with the bridges across the river.
A corps under the command of General Drouot has deployed his men beneath the city
walls.
To save the men of both armies needless slaughter, General von Bulow has sent a
message to Drouot appealing to his humanity, asking him to vacate the city as he
cannot possibly defend it successfully.
Drouot's reply was a shock to von Bulow. It read, "Go away you smelly, little
Germans. Do not bother us or we will make fun of you some more." Showing this
to army commander Prinz Blucher, His Highness turned beet red and issued his
orders. "Raise the black flags, my children. No mercy!"
Your orders:
Destroy the French corps and capture Murcia.

I'm available for a game today at the usual time, 20:00 BST, 15:00 EST. Everyone will need to update their game to version 1.01 and have the KS Napoleon Mod v1.21 installed. This way, we'll get to check out what improvements have been made.

Re: Impromptu Games
No change in Ney's hairdresser, I'm afraid.
Your in a tight spot. With its recent defeat, the Austrian army has retreated south. It is only a few miles away and little able to mount a capable defense. The 2. Armeekorps
has been tasked with mounting a rearguard defense to enable the army to get safely away.
Cavalry patrols report French columns moving south at a rapid pace, fast enough to easily overtake the army. You have decided to make a stand near Lugny. The place you have
chosen is mostly open and will give your guns good lines of fire. To the north the land is somewhat wooded which should break up and slow the French columns.
Now a report comes from a cavalry piquet west of your line. A local from Givry on his way to Lugny has stated that an extremely large cavalry force was approaching Givry
from the north. He estimated the size of the force to be approximately 10,000 sabers. The man is a former feldjager so his report cannot be entirely dismissed. If true, this
indicates that Napoleon has sent his entire cavalry corps in pursuit of the Austrian army.
Your orders:
Delay the French long enough for the army to move out of danger.

Re: Impromptu Games
I had to go and help a friend get rid of some alcoholic beverages. I was such a good friend that I helped him up until late in the night so I couldn't make it to the game. I usually try to but this time there was just too much work to do.
Sorry guys but sometimes it's nice to help friends out when they are in need of that helping hand. I hope you understand my absence.
