The French were successful in holding off the enemy and pushing them back to the north. Today's battle will be on the Kelheim map where the French will attempt to recapture Kelheim.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. After Weds. battle, the French regained control of Kelheim. Today, it will be 9 yrs. earlier with the French and Austrians fighting for some red-tiled town in Italy.

However we did succeed, making that part of Italy safe for all strudel loving people. Today we will be battling the 1807 Russians, another easy pushover.

Sorry guys. The power went out and stayed off for more than 3 hr. Either a tree took out a power line or a squirrel decided to commit suicide.

If only these self distructive wildlife would stop to think, for one moment, who else's lives get affected by these selfish acts. If only the squirrel was aware of our impending victory, it might have thought twice before it ruined our game.

Fortunately night descended when it did, as a French division had moved through Abendsburg on it way to a strategic road junction behind the Austrian formations. Do we have a scenario today?

Today in another theater, the French will attempt to hold Bad Gogging, the last significant town in the Kelheim region. Can the Austrian steamroller be stopped? Join us and find out.

Sunday's battle saw the British forces spend most of the day wiping out a lone French division, while the main force contently sat around their depot sampling the soft cheeses and a fine vintage of chardonnay. When the Brits finally showed up, AI had little difficulty in holding us at bay until the had tastings finished up.

While I am absent you lot do seem to lose more.

I can be here today but due to several celebratory G&Ts due to model railway progress I am unfit to command anything more than a small irrelevant division... or maybe a brigade... or possibly a company of Landwehr.

Speaking of confidence in commanding something, unlike Digby a few G&Ts would likely improve my skills :-)

Looks like there is a decent chance of me playing today and almost definitely Sunday. So I look forward to the prospect.

Now ... in terms of game balance due to my long hiatus and skill deterioration I would like to have a platoon of Shermans in my OOB. I am fine with the earlier models and 75mm guns if you think the 76mm or 17lbers are too much

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST.  Weds. battle...another day, another lose.  Montebello remained firmly in Austrian hands.  A spoiling attack by 2 Austrian divisions doomed our chances of winning.  Today's battle will be a stand-up fight on the Kelheim map.  Perhaps with the military genius of Pat to aid us we can win. Either that or perhaps taking to heart the old adage, "If you can't beat them, join them", and fight on the side of the sausage eaters.

My class got moved back so I teach until 1500. But Sunday is a go
