Re: Impromptu Games
Or most of my division! I only used my guns, cavalry and skimishers. I think 2/3rds of my infantry never fired. Your Old Guard had a nice lazy day building snowmen as well Kevin. Were you on the chill-juice when you wrote that scenario?

Re: Impromptu Games
An occasional relaxing battle is nice change of pace. Do not fear, I'm sure there will be a normal scenario appearing in the near future.

Re: Impromptu Games
I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Sunday's battle was a fine example of reaping what one sows. Although we took 3 of 4 objectives in Pat's scenario and technically lost, we had the pleasure of witnessing him being assigned to and commanding the division he had slated for destruction in this battle. What a shame. Do we have a scenario for today?

Re: Impromptu Games
Kevin. Kevin. Kevin.
I thought the plan was to simply label it a “challenging scenario” and talk about how it would be a great idea to try it again and give that division command to Grog or Martin J or Mongo lol
Guess I will just have to craft more of them ....
Enjoy the game today folks. I will be absent

Re: Impromptu Games
I've got a couple of scenarios. One needs 3 players minimum, one needs 4.

Hey Stefan
It would be good to have you back in the ranks. A game on friday looks very likely

I'm putting together a scenario on a map Stefan won't have played on, if anyone else is making a scenario maybe you can bear in mind we'd like to give Stefan a fresh experience of the game.

Re: Impromptu Games
I was thinking more along the lines of punishment in a new environment. I'm currently putting something together on the Schellenberg map which we've not used yet.

Re: Impromptu Games
For today .... I found my player v player (6 min) Meckel map scenario that never got played 2 weeks ago because I lost the files. I also have a min 3 player versus nasty AI sunny day salient defense against the Russians. Really doesn’t matter which division you assign me to this time Kevin. I also have the revised Elyau fog scenario from a month back and a 3rd player v player in case the Meckel map is distasteful. Then there is always the special one we recently did as long as we have different players in the division command structure lol.

I can make it. Looks like I don't need to make a scenario but its not very likely we'll have 6 players.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Sunday's battle saw the French defeat an Austrian attack with ease. A walk in the park really. Do we have a scenario for today?

Prussia, October 1806
================
Situation:
======
Our campaign against Prussia has been going very well. We have crushed the enemy main army at jena-Auerstadt but before the enemy will come to the negotiating table his other army remnants continue to hold out. The Armeecorps of Marechal Augereau has advanced north-east and secured the city of Posen and is now encamped at the Posen Landstrasse.
Intelligence:
========
The enemy remnants have been driven out of the loop of the Wetna Fluss almost entirely and are now pushed into a small bridgehead at Skoken, their last stronghold south of the Wetna.
Our cavalry patrols have identified an enemy corps at and south of Skoken. Our scouts have also determined that all the other crossings of the Wetna are either burned or uncrossable due to early autumn rains. The enemy has just the one crossing at Wetna by which to retreat.
The enemy force is in some disarray and may well be demoralised but he is in significant numbers, probably 30,000 to 40,000 men. He should be weak in artillery as we have encountered many guns abandoned during his retreat.
Objective:
=======
Attack and capture the Skoken river crossing by dark. This will trap the enemy remnants on the south bank of the Wetna and ensure his capitulation.

Re: Impromptu Games
I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. The French did indeed capture Skoken on Weds. Although we had to add another hour to the clock as it took over an hour just to reach the battlefield. A few Prussian units made it across the river, but the bulk of the force was indeed trapped against it.

Re: Impromptu Games
I should be able to play.
If nobody has a scenario I am happy to bring out either or 2 past ones with an AI tweak. Sorely disappointed at the AIs combat choices in the last one I built lol. And I have a couple PvP. Otherwise quite happy to play whatever

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Friday's battle on the Eylau map resulted in the destruction of the Russian infantry, but an overall defeat for the French. We just couldn't hold all three objectives. Today's outcome will be better, I'm sure.

In case we need one: I have an adjusted scenario for Fifi salient since the AI needed some discipline. Depends on who will be in command I guess. And 2 player v player.

Re: Impromptu Games
I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 GMT. Sunday's game was an disappointing loss for the Prussians. The French sent a division to delay our advance through the tangle of woods along the Warta River. They productively spent that time deploying an impressive defense around the objective. Fortunately the battle ended when it did, otherwise Phil was minutes away from receiving a rear end surprise from a marauding French division. Do we have a scenario for today?
