KS Napoleon Mod II 1.24 & KS Supplemental Maps 1.16
A new version of the KS Napoleon Mod and Supplemental Maps has been released. You can find the download links in the first post of this thread: Set Up for SOWWL NAPOLEON GAMES For Kriegspiel style
Changes made:
A few road errors on several maps have been fixed.
The "white mountains" effect on the Chattanooga and Eylau maps has been fixed.
The 1806 Prussians and 1807 Russians will fight in a more linear fashion as they historically did during that time period.
The cavalry and artillery AI has been rewritten to fix bugs and make both act in a more historic manner.
Foot artillery will not move very close to an enemy position. Horse artillery will, if it is closely supported by a cavalry or infantry unit. This is more historic.

Could we incorporate the newly improved/modded Chattanooga map into the Supp Maps Mod?

There's a new Chattanooga map? What's improved?

Sorry, not Chattanooga, Chickamauga.

The Chickamauga mod went from 1 map to 4. Which one is the best? Two of them have dates of 4/3/2017.

Chickamauga is the original map
Chickamauga_1 is a map for days 1 & 2 of the battle
Chickamauga_2 is a map for night
Chickamauga_3 is a map for day 3 of the battle and includes some destroyed fences and buildings and possibly some entrenchments (not sure on this last bit).
For our purposes Chickamauga_1 looks like the best option, though _3 may offer something useful too.
Worth including as the terrain textures, trees etc have been greatly improved.

Re: KS Napoleon Mod II 1.24 & KS Supplemental Maps 1.16
Question about 1.24.
Has anyone else noted a certain lag ( for want of a better word ) when moving a unit or officer? When selecting a unit and picking a place to move and then hitting its formation there seems to be a short lag ( 1-3 seconds ) before I can select another unit. Maybe tomorrow I'll fire up 1.23 which is still there but inactive and see if the problem disappears but I was curious if anyone else had noted it.

I hadn't noticed that. On my old PC I had all kinds of odd "data lags" as the game processed things. It was sometimes impossible to click on units or select a recipient in the courier screen. That was due to a lack of PC memory and the problem has gone now I've had my PC upgraded..

Yeah, its definite.
I tried 1.23 again and it worked perfectly. Click on a unit, move it and select a formation and then I can immediately go to the next unit and repeat the process.
When I went back to 1.24 there is a delay of 3-4 seconds between selecting a formation and being able to click on the next unit. There have been no other changes to my set up.

Screw it. Deleted 1.24. Re-downloaded it and reinstalled. All seems well.
Damned if I know why.

That sure is weird. Martin James has similar sounding problems with SoW WL.

Many moons ago I learned not to question the gods of Microsoft. If something isn't working and then starts working....just shut up and be happy about it.

Our next version is going to be a big update. For the NSD and Matrix forums I'd like to do an announcement post to include some pictures so I need pics of the new sprites and the new maps. If anyone takes a good shot of one of the new maps that shows a good expansive view giving new features, please post it here or send it to me by e-mail. Same goes for the new sprites (that would be Austrian German fusiliers in shako, British pre-1812 heavy dragoons in bicorne, Polish infantry and all the 1806 Prussians).
Maps so far are:
East Cavalry Field - Spain
PPT - Portugal
Elkhorn Tavern - Russia
Cold Harbor - France
Manassas - France
PCL1 - Spain
Sharpsburg - Spain
Seccessionville - Netherlands
Gettysburg 9 mile - Germany
