It's on the matrix/slitherine members page. Here is the link they give: SOWWL Update After logging in, you'll see an entry for Updates.

I can play today at the non-usual time of 14:30 EST, 19:30 BST. I'd have to say the Russians won convincingly Weds. Rare for the human commanders to so, but not impossible, I suppose.

I'll be there 7.15pm BST. Will need to test out my set up early, as had a corrupt 1.03 patch install but seems ok now

Re: Impromptu Games
3 unusual things occurred yesterday.
1. Kevin admitted he was wrong for the 2nd time this year.
2. Humans one 2 times in a row
3. And this. (NO PHOTOSHOP EITHER)

Re: Impromptu Games
Upon careful analysis of the replay, it was determined by a panel of unaffiliated, non-biased judges that Morsey's score was the results of "irregularities". It was decided that it should be reduced by 6,000, giving a new and official total of 2,100. It is still the highest total since the judges were unable to say whether any blatant misconduct was perpetrated by Morsey. Investigations are continuing. Stay tuned for further developments.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. The Russians are on a roll, having convincingly defeated the French in the last two battles. Can it continue? The smart money would say yes, but the fix may be in.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. We're still Russians with a new dll.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. We'll play the same scenario as Weds, but with a new dll. It was looking bleak for the humans, but maybe a miracle will occur...

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. The Russian winning streak came to an end Friday with the French easily keeping the humans from achieving victory. Today we'll try as the French. It should be an easy victory.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. The last battle was a decisive French victory. The humans head the victorious army again.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. Another victory for the French. Can the humans perform a hat trick and make it three in a row?

Re: Impromptu Games
Thanks for having me guys. I really try to like the game but Waterloo just isn't for me. It's a shame because Kevin has done such great work but I literally cannot play with that interface. I always wait like 6 months or a year and forget about how difficult this game is to actually use, then I read all the stuff here, get excited to try and play and then realize that to play HITS, for me, with Waterloo's engine is impossible and not enjoyable. It's literally a pain in the ass.
So keep in touch and maybe if they get smart and go back to the old interface I'll catch you at the next game.

Did you check the Disable Context Menu box on the 1st page of the Options Menu? If not, that would explain the problems you were having. You have to click twice to do anything if that box is unchecked.

Re: Impromptu Games
Yes its checked, still sucks. I go to rotate the map and units move. Also you can't click if you're right next to a unit. It's just not fun sorry. (Your mod is excellent)

Re: Impromptu Games
Mark. Good to have you play with us.
I was having a lot of problems finding ground to get my pointer to click on. It seems to happen more on some maps than others. It's very frustrating but I suppose regular players get more used to it and think less of taking half a dozen attempts.
As much as I like Saddle play, I wonder if increasing our height radius might be best. Maybe only by 2M.
I also been to increase the forward Commander distance significantly on the WASD command.

I can play today at the usual time, 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST. We'll have to re-fight Sunday's battle as the artillery wasn't working properly. It's fixed now.
