Re: Impromptu Games
NO but we all failed my orders were for all of us to have negative numbers to be successful. We had an objective and I was willing to let them die for it.
I owe it all to my 3 arty batteries and suicidal attacks down artillery lane by the Austrians. My 1 INF BDE had less the 500 points.
Artillery is the King of battle.

Re: Impromptu Games
Scones made from Bones
After the battle of Las Mesa the Russians retreated to the south and you were order to screen them and keep them south and hope the continue onto other parts to the east. So far your operation has gone on without a shot fired. In the far distance you can see the Russian dust cloud moving east.
CinC you have just received an urgent dispatch from HQDS.
It reads. There is news of another Russian Force to your North. It appears that they are now the aggressors of Europe. The French reluctantly gave us this information after the Russians crossed into Spain from NE France.
Your orders have been changed and you have now been sent to take three position in the area of Agua Caliente (Hot Water) which are to your North.
You have no reliable intelligence on where the Russians are thanks to superior and most reliable but lacking French intel.
But the good news is that with this dispatch came some fresh new artillery pieces.
As you move north you hear rumors from the locals that the Spanish Army is being reorganized and may be ready to assist you soon until more British troops arrive. Some even said that France is about to declare war on Russia.
The great saga from a land far far away continues

Re: Impromptu Games
I would suggest that you make a scenario yourself. Then you won't have to whine about the ones I make on the forum.
I am going swimming you guys have a good game.

Re: Impromptu Games
I won't be available today. But we can arrange something over weekend.
I've got some unfinished scenarios that we could play if I eventually finish them.
If someone could make some scenarios I'd suggest something small, suitable for 2p v 2p or 3p vs AI - as we don't expect large numbers (or who knows?)

Re: Impromptu Games
Should make it today but I do not think I will have time to make a scenario tied up with work.
Would hate to rush making one again only to screw it up and put us in never never land again.
Miko, I will make some smaller scenarios for those days when there is only a few of us this weekend. Great idea.

Re: Impromptu Games
I'm away today and tomorrow but might be around on Sunday.
You can always pick one of the bigger scenarios in the mod and leave a division or corps command to the AI.

Re: Impromptu Games
Anybody available for a game today? If so please advise me so I can create a scenario to the number of players available. If we have enough I will make PvP a priority.
I am very busy with work so please inform me if you can make it or not so I will set aside time to create a scenario.
Thanks!!

Re: Impromptu Games
I must congratulate Phil on his excellent performance yesterday. It's been probably the heaviest defeat I ever suffered. I could moan about how 2 regiments of heavy Cav don't balance 4 regiments of lights but it's up to commander to adjust the tactics accordingly to units on his disposal, as well as the enemy forces faced.
Mike vs Mike had an equal duel - hope you've enjoyed it.
This proved as well that 2p vs 2p is surely better fun than 4p vs AI.
once again - hats off to Phil.
