Interference b/t Mods? Empty Interference b/t Mods?

Post  Fightin Joe Wed Nov 20, 2013 3:19 am

Is there an interference having two different mods installed - e.g. having GCM installed with couriers and maps? I would like to play both games and was wondering if it's possible?

Yes you can have any number of mods installed in the game folder. The key is the MODIFICATIONS screen in the game main options menu. To use a mod, click its name so that a yellow rectangle highlights next to it. That means its ACTIVE and the game will load it. Any mods you don't want to use in that particular play-session, just click their names to turn off the yellow rectangle.

You also haave to click the tick button at the bottom of that page when you're done. I think it says 'load mods and close page' or something like that.

By switching mods to ACTIVE or INACTIVE I can have my install of SoW be an ACW game, or make it a Napoleonic game at the press of a couple of buttons, its a great design feature.

Remember also that the SEQUENCE of the active mods may also be important. Ones that are activated lower down the page will load last into the game so if they conflict with an active mod that's higher up the page, the lower down mod's code will overwrite the higher one.
