Restricted Movement Maps Mod
Here is a mod which makes some streams impassable and can only be crossed via a road. It must be placed BELOW CourierAndMaps or KS Napoleon Mod or KS Peninsula Mod. Do not activate it unless the host specifically says so. Of course you can use it as desired in solo play. Inside is a folder of jpg maps which show which streams are impassable. Although I used the nappy maps to show them, it can be used in ACW battles too. I will add others if there is a need.
You can download it here: Restricted Movement Maps 1.01

Re: Restricted Movement Maps Mod
We have had one curious crash with the Antietam restricted map, when Hays dropped from a 5-player game with the log error "Formation restriction -1".
Not seen that error at any other time and it could possibly be something involving an AI formation trying to move along/around/across the impassable stream.
That's just a guess though - equally it could be something else entirely - I find the Antietam map to be by far the flakiest map for MP play.

Re: Restricted Movement Maps Mod
Hi Kevin
looking at the maps in the mod, I cannot see any markings where the rivers are passable.

Re: Restricted Movement Maps Mod
I'm pretty sure Kevin's set them up so that they are passable at all fords and bridges that are on the in-game 3D terrain.
I think the idea is to not give away the obvious locations - if you are not familiar with the maps you have to find them.
Of course telling the AI to use roads and setting a destination on the far side of the river will automatically set your troops off towards a crossable location.

Re: Restricted Movement Maps Mod
Correct. As I said in the 1st sentence, only the roads allow passage across the rivers. There are no hidden/secret fords.

Re: Restricted Movement Maps Mod
The restricted movement mod has been updated to version 1.01. The Antietam map has fords across the Potomac. That way if the player or AI starts west of the river, he'll be able to get across. The link is in the first post.
