Need a minimum of 6 people and can cater for upto 12 or more if I know before hand.
I need to gauge interest ASAP as I know some people can not make it and I will make a decision to cancel the event if I can not get 6 people excluding myself.
So if you can make it please update the doodle.

I'm definitely interested - the only thing that may get in my way is transport, but we'll see who's interested and then if I can get anywhere along their route to LG.

I have posted at Warwick club forum and on TMP to see if we can raise some interest.
I am running the game at Historicon in July so would like to have a second play through to tweak before then.

Re: 23rd June - Battle for Hue - Tet Offensive Vietnam.
Around 2 weeks to go and only 3 people signed up...
I have a horrible feeling this will not be run....
I will see if there is something else we can do for four people...
If you know anyone who has not yet Doodled or posted here please nudge them, especially if they can make it.

I think we will have 3 or 4 of the younger players back by then. I'll ask David to contact them.MJ1 wrote:If you know anyone who has not yet Doodled or posted here please nudge them, especially if they can make it.
Unfortunately they (and even several of the older hands) don't tend to check-out the forum on a regular basis. Perhaps it's a case for reverting to sending out circular emails, but that does seem a backward step.

Trying to be sure this is on before I book any train tickets - hopefully they'll check in soonish.

Re: 23rd June - Battle for Hue - Tet Offensive Vietnam.
Thanks Martin,
I have not sent out a general e-mail from forum in a while, I should have remembered to get one sent. I will do that later.
I have posted on TMP forum, Wargames Design Group and my local club.
If we do not get numbers I could run a Crossfire Wargame really easily for the four that can make it if people fancy that? WW2 quick play wargame system.

That sounds fun too actually - I'd definitely pop for a ticket for that, so I'll book tonight.

Re: 23rd June - Battle for Hue - Tet Offensive Vietnam.
I'd be happy to drive that long journey for the Tet game because it involves a good few people, but if its only 4 or so I'd probably give it a miss - no offence to the WW2 rules you have mentioned Mark.
Lets see first if Martin's clan and mates are able to attend - the Tet game could still be on.

We are short of one person if Vince and Paul turn up...

Re: 23rd June - Battle for Hue - Tet Offensive Vietnam.
So... how are we going with this?
I'd definitely like to attend, but if I leave it much later to book the train fare is going to go up.
Almost as much extra as I'd be out if I booked now and it fell through ^^

Re: 23rd June - Battle for Hue - Tet Offensive Vietnam.
I think something will be happening so I guess book it...
I will bring a back up if too few people turn up. We could still run the game but it will be a lot of work for umpires and players...

I'll email Paul and double check he's okay with giving me a lift, but sounds like we're a go. And if they had to, maybe an umpire could double up? It worked in Mali...

I think it might prove productive to do so. Many of those who have signed up recently want just the PC internet activity so I have the impression that face-to-face activity gets a low profile.

Re: 23rd June - Battle for Hue - Tet Offensive Vietnam.
The game is still on but I will not make it to the site until around 10:45am as I need to pick up two players at Hemel station.
If anyone gets there before me I can e-mail the door code.
I hope to get the game going at 11am..
See you all on Sunday.

Thank you for those umpiring on Sunday and all the constructive feed back from the players.
