Latest schedule for games at Little Gaddesden in 2017 is as follows:


*  19th March – Paul, with 'Dithering on the Danube'.  A Napoleonic campaign on the Danube in 1809, followed by Club AGM.  For more information see lower down.

Dithering on the Danube

Being: – Paul's Napoleonic grand tactical campaign in the Danube theatre, 1809, using the prettiest Kriegsspiel map ever (and some pretty nice blocks, too, though I say it myself).

Where: Little Gaddesden Village Hall, 20 miles NW of London United Kingdom (from whence lifts may be available).

When: 19th March 2017  11am-4pm - prompt arrival necessary to secure a plum role!

I'm more of a dabbler myself, so I'll be Dabbling on the Danube.

I'm thinking of something like this.

Too pedestrian?

Heels too low. You need high heels if you are really going to cut a dash.

I've been wondering who pinched my dress-down uniform. After the blighter, Diggers!

There are 14 on the doodle now. That's the highest turn-out we've had in many a year.

We had a good turn-out for the 1809 game yesterday, and thanks to Paul for designing it.

Our next face-to-face k/spiel is Vikings!  Mayhem in 9th C England.  This will be on Sunday 7th May in Little Gaddesden.

We now take a break for a few months to enjoy the traditional English fine weather.  Our next face-to-face game will be in late September.

Just to confirm that our next game after the summer break is an ACW corps level campaign set in the summer heat of 1863.

So far it looks like an excellent turn-out of 11 or 12.  The designers, Graham & Sean, would very much like to firm-up on numbers so they can finalise the scenario.

Our apologies, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it has been necessary to move the ACW Campaign kriegsspiel from September to October.

A new doodle has therefore been created for October (see below).  If you had already registered for the game, we hope you can still make the new date.  If you couldn’t make September, hopefully you can make October!  In either case, please complete the dooodle so the game designers have an idea of numbers.

There will therefore be no game in September.

The autumn game schedule is therefore now as follows:

Crikey. We're now up to 13 on the doodle, and I think at least 2 others are planning to come, so that's 15. We could be on for our largest ever game - Huzzah!

And what a potential boost to club funds. Maybe the long-delayed work on the Little Gaddesden Purple Slime Emporium will finally get underway.
