1862 von Tschischwitz square Kriegsspiel pieces
Hi all, I have recentely purchased fm “Toofatlardies” the 1862 von Tschischwitz Kriegsspiel. Surprisingly (but not so much) the von Tschischwitz rules suggests to use square infantry pieces measuring 100 paces by 100, paces that at the usual krgspl scale should be 10mm by 10 mm instead of the usual half infantry battalion piece measuring 12.5mm x 7.5mm as per von Reisswitz rules. My humbly opinion is that it is possible to play correctely the von Tschischwitz Kriegsspiel even with rectangular pieces (probably loosing some historical chrome/flavor) without much ado !! I would like to have ur comments gentlemen !! Cau U confirm that the pieces measurement for both the square pieces and the rectangular ones are correct for a map 1:7500 ???
I thank U all in advance and every opinion will be naturally welcome !
Cheers,
Francesco
