Thursday 13th Dec Gettysburg MP game?
Anyone up for a game at say 20.00 UK Time? I'd like to try hosting, as a test before Saturday's big scenario game.

I need to test as a client for you anyway, so I'll be there. If you still can't host for me, its no worry, I'll drop out.

Glad you can play on Thursday. Hopefully we can do the test in a spare 20 mins before then anyway. I've emailed you separately re that.Mr. Digby wrote:I need to test as a client for you anyway, so I'll be there. If you still can't host for me, its no worry, I'll drop out.
Even if there are still problems with me hosting, we have Ron as reserve host, so you won't need to drop out. Indeed we need you to play, so your command is covered.

Excellent. That's at least 5 players. Something vs the AI maybe?

Good game vs the AI on the Prairie Grove map, although we used a modified Chickamauga corps OOB. We did not initially know the enemy strength, as the OOB I used can throw up enemy corps of widely differing size.
Liddell's division, under Niall, had a hard fight of it in the Corn Field. Walker's Division, under Stefan, was involved in a see-saw fight over Johnson's Farm. Both divisions eventually drove them back however. It emerged during the de-brief that both sides were of similar strength, at about 10,000 each.
The map is a real work of art, so if you haven't tried it yet I would urge you to download it. I found the lack of roads meant the troops seemed to tire easily, but that could be my sloppy march discipline.

It really is a beautiful map, the trees especially. Such a tragedy John won't be designing another.

Oh there's another, Pea Ridge. It's even better than Prairie Grove.
