Battle of New Market!
Federal forces are bearing down on New Market, which is being defended by a substantial contingent of Confederates.
This battle will be resolved before turn 6 is solicited.
I have a list of the units to be involved and there will be some minor scenario creation involved.
The battle will be on the MAC map rotated anticlockwise, 90 degrees. Confederate forces defending with cavalry to the front. Union forces will be approaching from the (new - A90) "north."
Thanks,
Neal

If he came across such a "dangerous" encounter with the Nuns protecting the silverware, and of course their virtue, will he send couriers for support? or handle the situation himself?

A Letter to my Wife
To my Darling Emma,
How are you this day? I hope I find you well and in good form, I am well and the men are in good spirits.
Today we heard the first sounds of war since this army came to the Shenandoah Valley and the boys are keen to get at the Rebels as soon as eminently possible it is all i can do to hold them back from accosting the General every time they see him asking when sir when are we going to fight?
We learned yesterday that the rebels have been spotted in large numbers some miles to the south in the general direction of New Market where he intends to give battle but we still wait for the orders to march to the guns. We have heard rumours that the rebels are here with troops that number in the region of 20000 infantry and Cavalry with that infamous scoundrel and sad to say my dear friend of many years Digby Chinless at their head.
