Re: Officers in command
I would like to nominate Stefan for the role of Confederate corps commander, if he is prepared to do it .
I thought someone had already volunteered to be our division commander.

Stefan, how do you feel about this awesome responsibility? :-)
No, nobody has jumped on the Divisional grenade yet.

So, it would be:
Corps Stefan
Division Martin
I'll need acceptances.

Re: Officers in command
Err.....thanks Baldwin
Actually doing the divisional job would be a challenge, as October is going to be quite hectic for me, and I will be away quite a bit of the time.
Could I nominate Baldwin? He would be excellent in the role. Or perhaps we coulds share it? Is that allowed? November is looking a bit better for me, so I could relieve him for a spell then if he likes.

Hadn't thought about sharing.. But both of you are pretty above board. How about Baldwin through the month of October?

Sir. We are both protégés of the Father general. Imune both to shiney cutlery and fair face.Uncle Billy wrote:Now that made me laugh. They both have designs on the silver and ladies. But both of you are pretty above board. How about Baldwin through the month of October?
I would demand satisfaction, but I see from an unimpeachable source (the FG) that you passed out of West Point 44th in your year, so to fight you would not be honorable. Err........plus I am unfortunately now dead.
[Tannoy correction......apparently I misread that. It seems you passed-out at West Point 44 times in your year!]
I have the honor to be, sir, your most obedient and humble servant

Digby and Grog, I went in and updated your settings. Digby, you should no longer see the Union forums. Grog, you should now see the Confederate.
Very busy day today, so little time to do much, but will catch as catch can. Tomorrow will be better.

THAT was a random number, generator, SIR!
(Late at night, when the other officers are asleep, the Father General pulls out that sinful pouch and rolls the dice to see if he can get a seven. Then he spends the next day wracked with guilt.)

Gods, man! When I began reading that last sentence I thought you were going to introduce the loose women!

Re: Officers in command
Very nice, Father General discovers pleasure. Now I'm going to have to post a regiment to protect the corps strumpets. Then I'll need another regiment to guard the guards. Once he discovers the joy of John Barleycorn no still will be safe.
