New Player
Hello everyone,
I've been playing Scourge of War on and off for the past 2 years or so, and I recently managed to finally "beat" the game. Growing tired of Sandbox games, I was looking to get into the MP aspect of the game, which I've yet to explore. I found a link to this forum from a thread over at NSD, and have spent the past couple hours reading the threads on here. I'm greatly attracted to the HITS and couriers form of game play, which I've dabbled in a bit during SP (it definitely changes the game). This place seems to be the core of the HITS community, and was hoping that you folks wouldn't mind a new player such as myself joining in on the fun.
I do live on the West Coast in the USA, and I understand that the majority of the community here is in the UK. I'm pretty flexible with my times on the weekends though, and sometimes even the weekdays, and would make an effort to attend any scheduled games. I really enjoy this game and would love to get a chance to play it in MP. Thanks

Re: New Player
Hi and welcome to the group. There is a HITS game scheduled for this evening you might want to join (see the thread about major byrd reporting for duty). And if you are familiar with our gameplay the next scenario will be played next saturday. Hope to meet you on the battlefield soon. Cheers

Re: New Player
Yes welcome. We are very keen to attract new players to our group, so don't worry on that score. About a dozen of our group are based in the USA, and we even have some on the west coast .
I periodically circulate a contact list to the MP group, so if you'd like me to add you to that, send me a private message. I'd need your email, US state, and full name. We tend to use first names when playing MP btw, as we find it helps to keep things friendly. Apart from the larger games we run, maybe you can hook up with the other west coasters from some ad hoc games.

Re: New Player
Thank you for the welcome. Unfortunately I couldn't make the game today. I can make next week's though, but I don't want to be the new player who ruins the scenario!
Martin, yes I would like that, I will send you a PM.

Re: New Player
Got it Cardboard. Thanks.
Good point re the scenario. We do encourage new players to have at least one MP game before trying one of our scenarios. Really just to iron out any technical or configuration problems in a small game, as a lot of work goes into the scenarios so we like them to run as smoothly as possible.
I'll add your name to our contact list and circulate to everyone today. Perhaps you could arrange an ad hoc game during the week with some of our American chums? Looking at the list, I see there are a good half dozen on the west coast and in places like Colorado & Nebraska.
