Sandbox campaign
I gotta tell you guys I am really looking forward to being able to play online in an MP game.
However, I also found something insanely fun in the meantime. I am sure I am getting here late but damn if Sandbox Campaigns aren't a total blast.
I'm having a hell of a lot of fun simply because there is no 'balance', it's "like" a great simulation in that opposing forces, for the most part, are never pre-determined. I've had 4-5 battalions of Cavalry w/ artillery run into a well-rounded group 2x bigger and had a BLAST fighting the battle.
I've made too many mistakes. Gotta tell you guys I run into NIGHTMARES giving the wrong orders to the wrong people when I am not paying CLOSE attention to who it is I am ordering. Wish there were some safeguards in the system to stop this from happening.
Anyway, just throwing that out there.

Re: Sandbox campaign
You can set up the sandbox campaign to use any of the KS OOBs and you can also plug in any of our custom maps to replace the meagre choice of rather plain maps that come with the campaign by opening up Base/Maps/WLCampaign.csv and replacing the map names in column O with those of your choice, the name used being that of the relevant maps .lsl file.
I agree the campaign does generate some fun fights.

Re: Sandbox campaign
You should just join us, you can't do any worse then I did when I first started to play. One of my first times I attacked the enemy and did not even know it. I was even violently called a "Big OAF" LOL
Hope to see you in an MP game soon.

Re: Sandbox campaign
No balance. Confusion in who gets what orders. Yeah, sounds about like one of our MP games. Haven’t tried sandbox campaign in a while and didnt know how to adjust maps. Motivated to try it again now

Re: Sandbox campaign
What OOB contains all the units on both sides? Full French I think? And which other? BTW, French is Army, Corp, Div, Battalion, Reg right?
Re: Sandbox campaign
That sounds like it. Although I never use any of the stock OOBs so I really don't know. The KS mod has 3 OOBs for the 1815 campaign. One of which has both the Prussian and Anglo-Dutch forces together in it.
