Waterloo Sandbox Campaign Issues
Hello fellow combatants!
I am having problems with SOWWL sandbox campaign games. Everything loads up ok, but I can't get anything to move or
interact on the game overview map. Currently running KS Napoleon, sprites and map mods successfully but no joy with
sandbox campaigns. Any advice appreciated gents!

The command map is accessed either by pressing the 'N' key or pushing the 'CM' button on the toolbar. That map allows you to give a destination to the unit. The other map is just for looking at.

Re: Waterloo Sandbox Campaign Issues
Are you referring to the main 3D campaign map that shows Belgium? The campaign starts paused so the first thing you should do is hit the 'play' button in the lower left corner. To make time run faster hit the fast forward button. You can pause at any time to issue new orders etc. By left clicking on a general's flag (or it might be right-clicking I really can't remember!) that brings up a window with that general's name at the top. You get a tree of commanders below that in the lower half of the window and can then highlight those and order "detach" which removes that officer and any subordinate units from the main army OOB and places him alone in the upper window. Highlight him again (its a bit clunky and counter-intuitive but you'll quickly get the hang of it) and you then click a town NAME (the name itself, not the 3D buildings) and he will begin to march there with all his subordinate units.
The whole campaign system is really not that well implemented and appears to me to be a very rushed effort to make a framework that just generates sandbox battles but it has its merits.
Later when I have more time I'll link you to a modified camapign AI file Ihave that gives a better game and also uses all teh KS maps in the towns and random road encounter battles so that you don't end up fighting every single battle on the same 3 (rather boring) maps.
