Other PC games - Campaigns on the Danube
This one comes highly recommended by multiple correspondents as a PC based KS, with a good description HERE
Its an older game, which might be downloaded cheaply, but with updates up to 2017, and a rather gorgeous map mod available too.
I understand there is PBEM playability too - though not sure whether this is built in, or through Vassal or Cyberbox.

Yes, this is an excellent game. All orders are sent by courier and, with far distant detached corps, could even take a few days to arrive.
Agree re the map mod too.
It's a long while since I've played it. Whilst you can certainly play against the AI or one other player, I cannot remember whether it allows for more than one player a side. Rufus?

Both Digby and I have used this game to generate battles for SOWWL. Even without fighting the battles via another game platform, it is a superb operational level game. The AI is very good and not easy to beat. I would certainly recommend it to anyone interested in the warfare of this period. My only regret is that the author did not expand it to other campaigns such as Russia or Poland.

Agreed, but I must declare an interest. A long time ago when Frank Hunter had his own forum, I was part of a group who provided some input to this one, based on our experience with his previous 1806 game.
At that point, he was intending to use the same system for the spring & autumn 1813 campaigns in Germany, which we all thought would have been terrific. From what I recall, he wanted to try another period first though, which turned out to be WW1 via Matrix.
I think he's an excellent designer, who focuses on what's key to a period and then starts from scratch to create it, rather than following what others do. But he sure works slowly
