Any interest in a new campaign?
I was doing some research on the Salamanca campaign of 1812 and the more I read the more I realized that it is a perfect campaign for a SOW type Kreigspel.
Both armies have rough parity in numbers; Wellington has much stronger cavalry, Marmont has much stronger artillery. There are no corps system in either army so its essentially 9 or 10 allied divisions and 9 French. Ideally, we would need two teams of at least 9 per side: one commander and division commanders.
On the battlefield, Salamanca is the most SOW friendly; roughly 3-4K cavalry each side. Not many guns and mostly infantry. So, before I start researching roles and creating order of battles I would just like to gauge the interest level of the community.
Sorry I broke my ankle and lost my job so I've been rudderless for awhile. Snapping out of it and look to see you on the battlefield perhaps as soon as Sunday.

Re: Any interest in a new campaign?
Welcome back, Mark. I for one would be interested in a campaign, although my personal preference would be some part of the Austrian 1809 campaign. We have OOBs for both spring and summer now, so it would be mostly cutting and pasting of units.
Pitiful. A division of gleaming cuirasses waiting patiently in the background substantially raises the pucker factor. On the battlefield, Salamanca is the most SOW friendly; roughly 3-4K cavalry each side. Not many guns and mostly infantry.
Feel free to join us in our weekday games if you can. We play at 14:00 EST, 19:00 BST on Weds. and Fri.Snapping out of it and look to see you on the battlefield perhaps as soon as Sunday.

Is there a new patch? I heard reference to 1.0.3 but on Matrix site it is still only 1.0.2

Yes, there is a new patch. You can download it from the Slitherine members page. The log-in is the same as your Matrix log-in.

Re: Any interest in a new campaign?
I uploaded and installed my patch but my multiplayer lobby says 1.0106 ???
I have installed all the files on this site as instructed. I patched twice to make sure. Any advice or am I good to go?

The version number doesn't change unfortunately. To make sure you have the patch installed, check the date of the executable, sowwl.exe. It should be 5/1/18.

Re: Any interest in a new campaign?
I would be interested in the campaign side, but being in Australia the time zone difference would make it impossible to participate in the battles. :/
