Re: Please help me decide on game features
1) How will a player know the courier didn't arrive?
2) Make it clear in the manual that couriers are NOT guaranteed to arrive if enemy units may be nearby, so players might consider sending more than one.

I was going to say the exact same thing. Couriers not getting through was a factor in all battles. I'd be disappointed if I knew in advance that all my orders would be guaranteed to arrive.

If a player sends an order and it never arrives they're not going to think the courier was shot; they're going to think I wrote a buggy game.
- not us, as we push for more realism.
- number of couriers should be limited as well (in SoW they are unlimited and kept being sent in most ridiculous situations)
- I don't know if that ever happened but if courier sees the enemy and no chance of running through or around it then might go back and report about it?
- the question above raises another one - "how about scouts"? they were not as normal thing as in later wars but definitely an option.
- if AI is commanding a brigade/division and not received orders for long time it might be "smart enough" to send couriers asking for orders too.

I thought, since the game will have its timer, it would be ok to register that, but no need for it.
