Who were the Russians SE of that eastern bridge? It wasn't easy to get that artillery out of there but those Russian squares were tough!
Can someone post the replay file, por favor?

Mike
That didn't mean we wanted you to do ANOTHER one!
Just kidding bro. It was well balanced and the terrain was good ... It made for some thinking as regards the approach to each bridge. And the last minute "the river between the bridges was fordable" was good. Reflective of some early morning scouting after the torrential rains.
I would have liked going face to face with Kevin, although I did see his family dressed (but illiterate and uncouth) mounted troops in the distance (shying away from the fight to protect his own baggage trains ... Just as one would expect)
Thanx for the file

Yes, it was a fun scenario. I look forward to round two.
Once my goons had located Pat's baggage train and "inspected" the contents, I lost all concern over him and his nags. Please refill your coffers for the next affair. Do try to make it worth my effort.
My attention was centered on Martin's infantry. The tureens were patiently waiting for a mistake in their deployment.

Waiting for the order to attack:

The last pic is three images stitched together which is why the French line looks curved, in fact it was straight. Pics were also taken just after the Bad Frame crash hence no smoke.

That was a long run-up for the final blast off there on the Eastern bridge!
Minutes after the french started to cross the bridge, I realised my fatal mistake - letting the french cross that bridge in the first place. Blocking the end of it when they finally decide to attack was the plan from the start since crossing the river elsewhere would hit the french fatigue considerably.
The scenario was pretty interesting and seemed well thought out so thanks a lot, Mike!

Telling time is simple for a Russian. Sun come up; daytime. Sun go down; nighttime.

This explains Napoleon's defeat in 1812. He should have timed his attack at Borodino when there was a total eclipse and caught all the Russians in their beds.Telling time is simple for a Russian. Sun come up; daytime. Sun go down; nighttime.
Hm. Do they have beds? Perhaps they just stitch a few serfs together and sleep on that.

Beds??? We don't need no stinking beds, we sleep on ground with empty potato wine jugs as pillows. No wonder you are going to loss you are to sophisticated to live in our rugged manly land.

Not sure if the typos are a part of the impersonation of a Russian or just Mike.
