7-y Korpus: General-Poruchik Nikolay Rayevsky
:The French have been pushed out of Russia! You have been deployed on the left flank of your army and given the task to find and destroy the rapidly retreating Corps under Prince Poniatowski. As you pursue and pursue the villages names suddenly don't sound Russian nor Polish any more and you realize that you have pushed the French all the way into the Germany - HURRAY!
Now, of course, you are faced with the task of actually destroying them... not just to pursue them...
The French seem to oblige and you have received reports that they have halted their withdrawal. Your scouts inform you that Poniatowski has deployed for battle between Eglingen and Uffenweiter. His strength seems to be somewhat equal to your own - or so rumors say! (you may want to prove yourself by offering him a personal duel!)
Objective and Victory conditions:
You are to locate Poniatowski's force and destroy them - only this will ensure victory!

Sadly, I will be on vacation. Hopefully, you all have an excellent game with zero frame crashes!

I have offered the Czar to command this corps provided he assigns a Kirasiry brigade as my personal escort.

We've played a couple of games without the bad frame problem, so hopefully that has been fixed.

The 4th division has 1200 guard cavalry. I think you might be happy to command them.I have offered the Czar to command this corps provided he assigns a Kirasiry brigade as my personal escort.

I am sure whoever I command will die terrible deaths and I will in no way feel moved or the slightest bit responsible.

Well true to form I misread the day and thought it was a Saturday battle. That would explain my loneliness on TS at 1500. Alas I will be at the Virginia state fair tomorrow. Enjoy the fight

Enjoy the fair Pat.
Well, those are not my dear Kirasiry but I will accept the Guard Cossaks for the time being.
That reminds me of the tiresome von Clausewitz, always trying to teach us how to fight the French, we Russians don't need reserves, just the right number of guns.

I admit that in my mind, von Clausewitz won the battle over Jomini a long time ago!

I don't usually show my plans in advance for deception reasons, what we call Maskirovka in the old Russia. However the difficulty of the task ahead compels this command to ensure that everyone is aware of his duty in detail today.

If we knew in advance we could organize better battles. I guess we'll be 6 or 7 with you.

A fine victory. Well played everyone!
Sir Iron, you really need to get a mic so we can communicate with you. After we are in-game we all use full screen so we can't talk in teamspeak.
Are you using a wireless connection? You seem to drop a good deal. We need to talk this through with you to fix it.

As expected, Pepe's battle plan was perfect. The French had no chance. It's always a pleasure to man the Russian guns.

I can't recall ever having played an SoW battle, Nappy or ACW, where the AI enemy did not have one single unit left on the map. Everything was destroyed or routing away. Very impressive teamwork.
