KS Napoleon Battle Wednesday, Oct. 21st, 20:00BST, 15:00EST
This battle will be fought on the Gburg map from SOWGB.
In order to shake the British will to fight, French agents have stolen the Empire's Champion Stilton cheese. Word comes of a ransom note which states that unless His Majesty signs a peace accord with the little Fenchman, the cheese will be, "drowned in the deepest lake possible as it is even unfit to be served to swine." Needless to say, this event has shaken the government to its very foundations. The very thought of this prize winning cheese being unceremoniously dumped into a river or lake would tear at the very fabric of what it means to be British.
This situation is of such importance that Nosey himself has been summoned to action. If anyone can sniff out this national treasure and return it to its rightful place of honor and worship, it's His Grace. Word has arrived that the cheese is located in the town of Sabionetta and is under heavy guard. Général d'Erlon has deployed a corps along the west bank of the Fiume Oglio to protect this spoil of war.
Objective:
Cross the Fiume Oglio and secure the town of Sabionetta long enough to discover the whereabouts of the Stilton and spirit it to safety. No sacrifice is too great.

Is this the map version with the uncrossable rivers or can they be forded anywhere?

The streams can be crossed anywhere. The British being so outraged at this sacrilege, they would not be deterred by a mere water obstacle.

I am pleased to report that the prize cheese has been returned to its rightful owners. General Cole's and General Perponcher's divisions are however undertaking a furious recruitment drive to rebuild their destroyed units. No sacrifice was too great for this noble task of restoring English honour!
Well done to all the dead Germans and Dutch who helped

A great game, fellas.
Thank you Kevin for putting together the scenario and Martin for managing the resupply of premier blue cheese to local delicatessens.
A couple of cheeses were even commandeered for my surviving troops. Due to losses incurred in combat, let us say, each man got a 'substantial' portion

Well done, everyone. The cheese will lead a procession, including the king, to Westminster. Rumor has it, it may even be canonized.

There are nasty rumours about that soldiers of the 42nd Foot (the Black Watch) who liberated the Stilton had never seen such a thing before and, thinking it was a French super-weapon, shot it. It seems that lead shot is henceforth to be a special ingredient of the the new recipe of "Black Watch" Stilton.
