This game will require all players have version 1.12X of the KS mod. It's the same one we've used for the past week or so. Here is the link: KS Napoleon Mod 1.12x
Russian forces under the command of General-Poruchik Olsufiev were unable to prevent the French from seizing the bridges over the Reka Horyn. With the French van guard crossing the river, nothing stands in their way of capturing the provincial capital, Kromenetz.
Although the mayor is fully prepared to fire the town and deny the invader any benefit from capturing it, the loss would shake the Russian psyche to its foundations. Kromenetz is the collection hub of the vast potato fields covering the region. With its storehouses full, burning the town would mean the loss of the crop. The loss of the crop means a sharp decline in the production of vodka. Bozhe moy!
General'nyy deTolly has issued orders instructing you to march to Kromenetz and defend the town. If possible throw the French back across the Horyn, but you must keep control of the town. To aid you, the general has attached to you a reserve cavalry division under the command of General-Mayor Duka. This gives you a large cavalry contingent with which you should be able to easily halt the French advance.
Reports by local cossack bands indicate the French corps is accompanied by a regiment of cuirassiers. These were last seen in the vicinity of Wienowietz. However, before the cossacks could begin to count helmets, a large force of uhlans drove them off. The cossacks also report that the Kromenetz is still unoccupied, with the lead French column still more than a kilometer south of the town but moving north.

If someone is asking about the map it must mean they want to draw coloured arrows on it! Martin's in charge! \o/
I thought I'd offer a palette of suggested colours for your divisional movement arrows:

The warm, comfortable tones will imbue the men with a sense of protection and homeliness.

This is an outrage Sir! Did I so much as mention a crayon or washable pen?
I am but a humble soldier, and must throw myself on the good-nature of my fellow officers, to relieve me of the burden of command.
Nice colours though....
Martin (J)
PS will do it if no-one else wants to but, based on my last game, there must be a significant risk of me being unable to finish the scenario. So on practical grounds......

I think considering your issues with commanding units you'd be the perfect choice for CinC - since you only have to move yourself around
PS: My troops won't move an inch if the movement my division has to make is indicated by a colour that can only pop up in a veet-advertisement:

Hmm, so it becomes a question of where you can do the least bit of harm.
Roland, you are a very strange person.

Never ever before was a Russian plan executed like clockwork. The Czar will be pleased to marry Marshall Tuchkov I with one of his daughers.

Perhaps its because Pepe's first language isn't English or it may just be my warped mind but I think that triangular marriage would be illegal on several counts! The Czar will be pleased to marry Marshall Tuchkov I with one of his daughters.
Yes, well done Martin and all, it was a very good battle. The French were "smeared" towards the south-east of the map in no uncertain terms. Casualties in my division were ridiculously light. I think the only loss we had was one of Kevin's dragoon squadrons which routed after 90 men insisted on dismounting to play at artillerymen. Fools.
Replay file.
