I'm available for a game if anyone else would like to play. Or at 20.00 if that's better. Please doodle here http://www.doodle.com/47kecc2mi27z2cve#table
I really enjoyed last Saturday's corps level game vs the AI. Great fun, and definitely one of the most interesting games I've played. So I quite fancy trying another of those, if anyone's up for that. If not, then just a vanilla game will be fine.
My replacement powerline adaptor has arrived so I'm back (hopefully) with a stable 40 meg connection. Would therefore like to try hosting, if no-one has any objections.

So far we have 3 signed-up for tomorrow's. It's certainly enough for a game, but it would be nice to have some more. Any takers?

Tomorrow is the day of gluttony in the states. You may not get many people from this side of the ocean.Martin wrote:So far we have 3 signed-up for tomorrow's. It's certainly enough for a game, but it would be nice to have some more. Any takers?

That was the usual good planning then! Best wishes for Thanksgiving Day to our American friends.
I see someone else has dooled, so we're up to 4 (or 4.5 including you, Mike).

The key thing is we always need a good host, and most of those seem to be among the ex-Colonists.

I should be ok to host this time. My defective powerline adaptor has been replaced, and I'm getting a stable 30-40 meg.Mr. Digby wrote:The key thing is we always need a good host, and most of those seem to be among the ex-Colonists.

Just to confirm that I will be able to join tonight, 8pm but will try to get there earlier.
Glad to see you are up and running Martin. I hope your Socket adapters do the trick.
I will be there as a back up if you run into problems. I have a 60mb Virgin on ethernet which appears very stable so far. My Download speeds are mostly 20-30mb and Upload 2-3mb. My PC is 3.5+mhz Quad, have 8gig of ram. Radion 5850 PCI.
I would just need a quick walk through for hosting. In fact, if I can join earlier, it would be good to quickly check my hosting capability.
I also have all maps installed.

Excellent news Mike. Looks as if you've got the specs for it, big boy! It's a good idea if all potential hosts have a go, so whenever a regular one can't make it, we always have a fall-back without the need to test things out before a big game.Grog wrote:Just to confirm that I will be able to join tonight, 8pm but will try to get there earlier.

And what better day for the fight-back against the impudent ex-Colonists, and their implausibly huge bandwidths? Whilst Uncle Billy & the Father General doze peacefully over their Thanksgiving turkey, at this very moment Union Jacks are being unfurled over Denver & San Francisco.
Stefan tells me he's just upgraded his internet too. I shall suggest he revises the historic Swiss claims to Virginia and the Carolinas
Huzzah!

Denver! How dare you sir! You've just called me an easterner. I live west of the Rockies. I shall expect to see you on the field of honor this weekend. Errr...bring your silverware along. My second will see to it's safekeeping. And what better day for the fight-back against the impudent ex-Colonists, and their implausibly huge bandwidths? Looks like a minimum of 5, plus whoever else might turn-up on T/S.
Do we all have Chancellorsville? I've yet to play MP on the Salem Church map. Or we could use one of Garnier's new ones.
If folks are up for it, can I suggest we play a corps of two divisions (each of two brigades) vs the AI? That would mean we need a corps commander, 2 div commanders and 2 bgd commanders. So no-one has to directly command more than one bgd.
Thoughts?
