Bill Leesons Originals
Copied from discussion on Yahoo group
==========================================================
Gentlemen, is there any way to find Bill Leeson's original translation
as published in 1984? I have seen in the older newsletters that he was
doing a mail order publishing service. Is this still going on? There
are a couple more publications (the Schmidt's example article!) that I
would also like to have...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again Ioannis
The TooFatLardies version uses Bill's original translation, and is the only version now in print. You might pick up an original on eBay sometime, but the latest version is a much more attractive product, and contains everything in the original.
I understand that TFL are planning to re-publish more of Bill's material this year, and I think that will include the Schmidt article.
Hope that helps.

Martin,
I already have all TFL products and Richard told me he will not be publishing the Schmidt paper in his next batch. I want Bill's copy for historical purposes, I like old books, and the paper because it gives an original description of how a game was played...
Thanks!
Ioannis

Schmidt's paper will be published in the coming year. Of course
Schidt's paper, a copy of which I have in front of me, is relating to
a game played on the Koniggratz Map, so we will probably publish it
when we release that map, which we plan to do in the first half of
2008.
Regarding the dice faces and the tables, they are the same in Bill's
edition as they are in the TooFatLardies edition. In terms of errata
it is rather difficult for me to say what Reisswitz did and did not
mean in any situation, and as the publisher rather than an expert on
Kriegsspiel, I do not feel qualifed to produce such a document. The
files section here would seem to be a good place to put such as
thing if one emerges.
Apologies that I am not inclined to be more verbose, I have flu at
the moment and am off back to bed.
Cheers
Richard Clarke

Excellent news, then, Richard. I am looking forward to both these publications.
I will elaborate a bit more on the tables on a personal email...
Hope you feel better soon.

Well best of luck with your search then

Dear Ioannis,
A friend of mine has a copy of the original 1984 hardback that he no
longer needs and would be prepared to sell. Please contact me off list
at arthur1815@lineone.net if you're interested.
