Campaign update 10/5
The campaign is now running as it should be.
You should all have reports dated variously evening July 24 or AM July 25. Both sides are now synchronized. (If for some reason I put June, I lied--cross it out on your monitor and write July.)
If you did not receive a report, post below and I will examine the situation.
The pace of the campaign will now begin to slow as units become dispersed and require individual orders. Understand that if you are occupying your own space, you will need to take charge of your unit. Although you may receive orders from your corps commander, it will be up to you to obey them.
Last night I posted new rules. All rules with the exception of 7 have been adopted. It is not vetoed, it is still pending Confederate corps commander review, as I understand. The rule holds that only 1 regiment may charge at a time from each brigade.
Please note that this is early war and your men will be green. All infantry is the same to start across the board. Cavalry and artillery will be slightly varied with the Confederacy having the advantage in cavalry and the Union in artillery.
As battles are fought, you will see your men go from clean-shaven eager kids to grizzled veterans capable in any fight. But it will take a minute, so understand. That's just how it was back then.
It's July, 1861.
