October 2021 game at Little Gaddesden

As promised by Martin back in June, this the Forum Notice of the above for everyone.

Although, with Martin's help, in the meantime I have sent as many notifications by email as I could.

Sunday 17th October 2021 - This will be an ACW battle at grand-tactical level featuring an Union Cavalry Raid into Confederate territory in the later stages of the War.

It will feature our Players v Pre Planned Scenario or "Black Box" style of play, which has previously given enjoyable games around the 2nd Day at Gettysburg and Chickamauga.

Unfortunately, I can't illustrate this announcement with a map, as Martin did for our November Napoleonic game, as the one that will be used in October covers a slightly smaller area than half of Europe!    As a result it will be under wraps until game day, so as not to reveal details to potential players. Although, I will confirm that on this occasion the map comes via the US Library of Congress and not our good friends in Sothern California, as previously mentioned!  

As Martin noted earlier:

Given the Covid issue, the games must be regarded as provisional for the time-being.  We will obviously need to follow Government guidance and/or restrictions, but will only know these nearer the time.  Nevertheless we do need a better idea of numbers for both games, so can we please ask you to complete the polls on a provisional basis.
