Kiowa War 1864 scenario Friday or Saturday
Leaving Sunday free for Digby’s Peninsular War campaign game, I’m happy to run a small scenario on the 1864 campaigns vs the Kiowa & Comanche using the Little Bighorn Mod for GB either today or tomorrow (Friday or Saturday), if there’s sufficient interest. We will aim to start at the usual time. Please complete the doodle if you would like to play.

The scenario background is as follows. It is 16.00 on November 1864 and the Kiowa have made war upon the Whites for several months, in alliance with their Comanche friends. With the ACW still underway, the blue soldiers are thinly-stretched. Many coups have been counted and much plunder taken. With winter approaching, the warriors return to their camps on the Llano Estacado in NW Texas.
This is a small game with small forces, so we will use the normal 1:1 sprite ratio we normally use with this mod. For the first time, the intention is to have 2 teams, rather than playing against the AI. We will therefore need a minimum of 4 players. The scenario should work very well with that number, but could accommodate up to 6. I will send out briefings before the game which you should read.
You can download the latest working copy of the LBH Mod here https://www.dropbox.com/s/g78yccakwjhawu8/KS%20Little%20Bighorn%20Campaign%20Working%20Copy%20%282%29.zip?dl=0
You will also need this version of the Montana Sagrada map here https://www.dropbox.com/s/xz8n7outmqp9dsl/Montana%20Sagrada%20map%20%28Carlist%20Wars%29.zip?dl=0
These are the only mods you will need.
Before the game, go into Options (p2) and set vegetation to 20%, to reflect the largely treeless nature of the Llano Estacado in this area. Also set map objects to minimum, to remove buildings and other anachronistic features.
For those who haven’t played one of these Plains Indian Wars games before, I should say that we are looking at asymmetrical warfare here, and that the scenario is not necessarily balanced in any way. Also, playing with this mod, things can go badly wrong very quickly .

Re: Kiowa War 1864 scenario Friday or Saturday
Right chaps. We have the minimum 4 players required, so I can run the scenario. Can still fit a couple more players in though.
I have detailed briefings to send out, but need a couple of volunteers as CinC before I do so .

Ok we have a volunteer to play CinC for the Indian side. Just need one for the US Army.

No-one seems keen on being the US Army CinC
Given that, we will save the scenario for another time, and play a regular coop game vs the Sioux in 1876.
You will need to enable whichever version of CouriersAndMaps you use (large or small), and also the latest version of the Little Bighorn Mod, which you have hopefully downloaded. LBH should come after CouriersAndMaps in the mods list.
Before the game, go into Options (p2) and set vegetation to 20%, to reflect the treeless nature of the high plains. Also set map objects to minimum, to remove buildings and other anachronistic features.
See you in TS shortly before 20.00 - ie in about 15 minutes.
