Carry over scenarios
I have an idea in mind for a scenario that would be fought in two phases but in this case I want to carry over casualties, morale, etc. I know Davide/Mitra designed one of these for the ACW once and the second scenario even had the dead bodies from the first in it which I thought was a very cool touch.
Does anyone know how to do this? Our scenario gurus maybe - Kevin? Stefan? Martin?
Thanks.

Re: Carry over scenarios
When the first day is over and before you end the battle, press the '~' key and type dumpscen. A folder named scensave will be created in the \work\scenarios folder. Inside that will be the scenario.csv file which will have the current location, (sort of), and current state of all the units in the battle. To use it, you will have to open it up and add a column between Class and Pict, (a new column K), and give it a heading of OOBMOD. The values should be left blank.
You can now use that as a starting point for your next battle.

Re: Carry over scenarios
Fantastic!
This even saves the dead sprites does it?
Can I shift formations about between the two scenarios and bring back some lightly wounded and deserters?

Re: Carry over scenarios
I gave you bad advice. You do not create a new column K. You just move the headers over 1 column and put OOBMOD in the now vacant cell K1. Sorry about that.
It is just a scenario file, like the one you first created. Replace your original with the new one. Then with alphaomega and noai turned on you can re-position all the units as you like. You can add back missing and lightly wounded also if you like. Note that the values you see for morale and fatigue will be the maximum allowed in the new battle, so you might want to adjust those.
