Custom brigade requests
Since publishing the OOBs of both sides I have gotten some custom brigade requests.
I have not replied to them as of yet because the OOB is still in development and is being tweaked. I have a working copy in my email, which I will be testing shortly along with a revised scenario editor. I don't want to make custom edits while the OOB is still in a state of flux from a functioning standpoint. Once the OOB is working, it should be easy to customize a few names. I really do want people to enjoy the immersion and reward of commanding personal units. It really does change the way you operate to know that this is your one and only unit, and squandering your troops causes you harm while carefully shepherding them brings you benefit. It also makes your decisions that much more agonizing when you see an emergency develop on the field and you alone can plug the gap against the enemy tide.
Because my time is limited and will be spent managing the strategic aspects of the campaign, I may not get to customization requests before Saturday. I apologize. I'll see what I can do over the weekend. It's not just me working to make this campaign a success, but your side commanders, Major Byrd and Uncle Billy as well as Hays, Stefan, Digby, and Martin are all contributing to making the campaign a success. Thank you also to those members of the GCM community who are supporting this campaign with enthusiasm.
Anyway, we'll be about fighting soon, so instead of worrying about titles, you'd best make sure your muskets are cleaned and check your ammo. Three day's rations carry lighter in the stomach than the haversack. You're going forward in less than 3 day's time, so look to your men.
