Inspired by the SP AAR recently posted:

Has anyone ever observed the AI responding to requests for reinforcement? I don't believe I have ever seen this. Is there any functionality of this sort in the KS AI?

Yes, it happens all the time. If you mean a player sending a request to your AI commander, then you have to send a courier message to your AI commander using the "Request Support" message. Use that and only that. Your commander will respond saying either he is sending help, or that no help is available.

Interesting. I have never experienced this (receiving a reply to a request from the AI).

The message has to be to your immediate superior, not someone of equal or less than equal rank.

And you are saying that a reply one way or the other is guaranteed? Just to make sure.

So long as the messages are not intercepted. If you spam him with multiple requests, he'll ignore you.
