But the imperialists have returned to try to take Hue back from the workers and peasants of Vietnam and subject them to their capitalist oppression. The People's Army calls upon the people of Hue to rise up and fight alongside the army to defeat these nefarious attacks. Your freedom depends upon your struggle in this time of need. Rise up! Further news from general media reports indicate there has been heavy fighting to the North walls of Hue as American and ARVN forces attempt to breach the city walls.

It is reported that fighting in Saigon has ended and the enemy forces are slowly being rounded up.

What is now becoming known as the Tet offensive is turning in favour of the American and ARVN forces.
