Operations for Feb 6th

The following operations are planned for Feb 6th. Your assistance in support of these objectives would be appreciated.

- Recon helos will identify a supply route from PK17 to Hue City along Hwy 1. They will also investigate the enemy concentration detected at 25.5/60.5
- An attack south to the NW corner of Hue City along Hwy 1 is planned by the 5/7 Cav. Us forces have cleared enemy forces from south of Hue City around the MACV and will seek a way into Hue City from the south.
- 2/12 Cav will remain at Van Xa airfield

I request any information you have on ARVN troop dispositions in and around Hue City.

No word yet on additional supplies.

Dear LTC Cheatham,

I am happy to hear all this! It is nice to know that there is hope that we will have more supplies soon.

We have many troops nearby, but little supplies. I'm afraid that due to the poor supply situation, I may not be able to offer you much help.

We have some troops on Rte 1. As to ARVN troops in Hue itself, I will have to radio to my superiors.
