Campaign Update 12/19
Hello all,
I have the OOB for the next battle in hand, but I feel it still needs some adjustments. I'll be handling that with the help of Niall over the next few days. After that, I expect scenario creation to be quick enough that we can start looking at scheduling the final battle sometime in the next three weeks. I will post both Saturdays and Sundays.
This final battle will feature every unit in the campaign, so if you have a unit, try to make it. My goal is to make this a large battle with as many human players as possible.
If you don't have a unit, try to make it.
The battle will be epic for several reasons.
1. Size
2. I concocted the final scenario
3. Hays and Baldwin will have built key components by hand
4. The Father General will be present
I will say the scenario, IMAO (In My Awesome Opinion) will be terribly fair and winnable by both sides, despite some lingering OOB disparity. In all, I am looking forward to a genuine challenge for both commanders who will need to be in top form in order to survive.
And of course, I'm looking forward to the second installment of the campaign!
Expect more specifics over the weekend with a doodle and commander briefings to both CiC's sometime late next week.

Gen'l Georgia, you're good with 3 to 1 odds, right?
And 1.5 to 1 on the battlefield, yes?

Re: Campaign Update 12/19
So long as I have the 1.5 and you have brought a supply of silver for my perusal, I have no objections whatsoever. Oh, and cousin Mary would like to present her husband with a beaver or two for stuffing. Please be kind enough to throw those in the wagon too. Tis the season...Father General wrote:Gen'l Georgia, you're good with 3 to 1 odds, right?

Hmmm... please don't over do it. A HITS game with forces so big people are outside their comfort zones is not an enjoyable experience. It also creates logistical problems with player availability and drop-outs.
If you want a really big HITS game I always think co-op vs the AI is a better choice.

Tavarish Chernov, if you're after some awesome large - scale battles using HITS rules, you should sign up to the next GCM/HITS crossover, which are being organised by WJ Palmer. They are *awesome*, and I think would be right up your street.

Yes. . . Comrade Chernov commands in such a manner which would make Stalin or Lincoln or the Father General proud.
He requires large numbers of troops so he can attain his quota.

I was in the first one that was hosted. It was indeed quite fun.

Says the man who, on two separate occasions, charged me with his entire division into melee, and was repulsed both times, before the games in which they happened crashed?
