Other times are open for suggestion. I'm happy to expand the poll.
Battle of Ridleysville has only two participants. There is no need for a doodle, they may coordinate the time between themselves.

I apologize for the inherent ridiculousness of the poll because of its size. I wanted to permit enough options.

Re: Battle of Harrisonburg Doodle Link
Well going by the current trend i will not be particpating in a battle again because the earlier start times seem to be the most subscribed
If this trend continues i see no option than to forward my resignation.

Added my dates. I am busy the whole of the 7th-8th-9th December weekend as my daugter is staying over and we're Christmas shopping in the day and probably watching films and playing on the XBox in the evenings!

It would be a shame if anyone is unable to play at all due to the time difference. Is there scope for an earlier start than 18.00 GMT on a Saturday or Sunday perhaps? Would that help you?M.Jonah wrote:Well going by the current trend i will not be particpating in a battle again because the earlier start times seem to be the most subscribed

Of couse it would make for an even bigger doodle.

Re: Battle of Harrisonburg Doodle Link
its the early starts i can't make sadly my rl commitments mean no gaming before 10pm GMT If more were willing to start the later times then it would not be a problem but you can see the trend here now on all the battle dates shown on the latest doodle every early start already has nearly a full subscription especially on the Saturday and Sundays. I can't even play a normal HITS game because they normally start at 19:30 and when they finish i am then embroilled in a GCM game.

It's a tricky one. Being in my dotage, I would be falling asleep over the keyboard with a late evening start. Not to mention the risk to marital harmony.M.Jonah wrote:its the early starts i can't make sadly my rl commitments mean no gaming before 10pm GMT If more were willing to start the later times then it would not be a problem but you can see the trend here now on all the battle dates shown on the latest doodle every early start already has nearly a full subscription especially on the Saturday and Sundays. But I don't need to play in every campaign game, and some of the other Brits probably have stronger constitutions. Digby sometimes plays into the early hours I think. For anyone in Continental Europe, the time difference is likely to be even more of a problem though.

I hope you do get to play. As I write, the second most subscribed time is a 22.30 start, so there may well be battles that suit.
I have long lost my ability to stay up late, and my definition of late is getting earlier and earlier, so I'm afraid I will always prefer earlier times.

This might be the key.M.Jonah wrote:and when they finish i am then embroilled in a GCM game.
If you can resist joining a GCM game at 22:30 (when no-one AFAIK is playing HITS) then I don't see why you can't play a HITS game every day of the week. Your time is too late in the UK for those of us who work 9-5 but your time coincides quite closley with the east-coast Americans coming home from work. I'm sure you know this from the number of GCM games that start about then.
MTG is often available for a HITS game at 23:59 or 00:30 in the week UK time and sometimes we have games at this time on a Friday and Satuday when I don't need to be up early in the morning.
So... lots of chances to play HITS games at that time of day. You just have to discipline yourself to not join a GCM game earlier and do something else for 90 minutes.

Jonah,
On weekends, we often have more than one HITS game. Although you can't make the first, you are always welcome for the 2nd and the occasional 3rd. Of course you are always welcome to play on the weekdays too.

This still does not get round the problem of the campaign games atm looking most likely to be at the earlier battle times which is what I joined here for.

Re: Battle of Harrisonburg Doodle Link
Bizarrely this weekend just gone was the best date. Why didn't we play?
After that, this Friday at 20:00 or 21:30 gives 10 players available with the 21:30 slot giving 5 vs 5 and the 20:00 slot giving 6 CSA vs 4 USA.

I shouldn't have set that date, I didn't have everything together. I am working on it tonight. There should be an update tomorrow.

I have scenarios out for creation and a directive for the cav skirmish.
Tomorrow, I should be able to anticipate (announce) a specific date for the battle(s).
