Western Campaign Battle Announcement
There will be two battles for July 28.
1. Cavalry clash, Brentonville. Flashman vs. Robinson only.
2. General engagement, Harrisonburg. Consists of the bulk of both armies.
I will be posting a doodle soon.
Do I have any volunteers to assist with scenario creation?
Thank you all, and let's have a fun one!

Re: Western Campaign Battle Announcement
re scenario creation
I am not available for a battle this weekend, but I might find some time to create a scenario if needed.
But we lack some steps before that.
I suggest this process:
(*) I suggest that at least one dummy AI artillery commander is generated for each division (inf or cav). This AI commander is to be set "take command" at the start of the scenario and not to be moved during the game.
Captured guns will switch sides and be attached to this commander and will not disappear from the battle. So we can avoid further discussions of capturing guns (see New Market). I see this as a disadvantage for the CSA, but we must come to a solution.

I suggest this process:
- The umpire informs the commanders about the battle map, starting location restrictions, available forces/strength and reconaissance info
- Commanders define their desired OOB structure (if permitted by Hays' tool) and starting location for each unit.
- Hays constructs the OOB (*)
