Some Map Ideas
FG
Been playing around with Excell and some graphics programs. Thought I'd post some ideas that you or others might find handy.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I have also copied:
- all Hits and Couriers maps (thanks MTG, marvellous work ) in png format for printing off. Is that OK MTG?
- all the GB and Antietam portraits in jpg
- all DRF and vanilla flags in jpg
I will make them available for download soon, after I request permission from NSD and Reb bugler
Let me know what you think. These are only testers. I will explain more if anyone is interested
Cheers

Re: Some Map Ideas
Sorry fellas, not sure why they are blocked. They are on public settings but I am quite noob to this site.
I'll try and post them with the Host Image function:

Nothing too exciting but I thought if these maps could be run off quickly (which they can), say for a scenario, then players would have a good idea of objectives etc, with their own portrait and flag thrown in for flavour.

Re: Some Map Ideas
Unfortunately it's still blocked.
I think it might be a restriction of this particular part of the forum (the campaign area). Or maybe one of the site admins pressed a wrong button somewhere?
Lets try this - warning HUGE IMAGE!:

Neal - proposed map that I will add nodes to. Also, do you want the Valley Boundary defined outside which forces may not move?

Re: Some Map Ideas
Sorry gentlemen, I was in a car accident this morning and am moving a bit slow.
I'll try to keep up, but need the evening to rest.
Everything will be okay. My truck was actually out of gas when I was hit, so I didn't lose all that much.

Re: Some Map Ideas
Neal- Sorry to hear that fella. Once had a smash myself and although I was not really injured, it shook me up a bit. Speedy recovery.
Digby, thanks for the response. Looks like you could be right because your image is blocked too. Says:
[Only admins are allowed to see this link]
I will try and post links in the main KS SOW part of the forum, failing that I will email them.

Grog, I like what you've done. It is a very clear Confederate victory.
Great work!

Re: Some Map Ideas
I like this map. I would set the nodes at 15-20 miles apart, or shorter if there are strategic positions between.
Cav will get extra movement.

Re: Some Map Ideas
Thanks Neal
Hey now, we wouldn't want to be showing any bias, would we :-)
Mr Digby
Nice map and not easy to get high res stuff either, good call. Looking forward to seeing the nodes in place. Plenty of opportunity for the Gap map with all those ridges, eh?
