Hi from Minneapolis, Minnesota Empty Hi from Minneapolis, Minnesota

Hi. I live in Minneapolis, where there is sadly no Kriegsspiel group. I discovered Kriegsspiel when researching the history of games. I plan to play a game with my brother using the Baring translation of Tschichwitz on the 1:8000 maps of Saxony. To scratch my itch for Kriegsspiel, I’m also currently researching the Oxford Kriegspiel Club, the first civilian wargaming club, founded in 1872.

Good luck, and do let us know how your game goes. There are several groups who periodically run kriegsspiel type games elsewhere in the USA, but of course America is a big place.

Hi from Minneapolis, Minnesota Empty International Kriegsspiel player registry?

Post  King_Rufus Sat Apr 10, 2021 12:20 pm

Good luck with the club search, and do let us know what you find out about the old Oxford Kriegspiel Club; its a new one on me, though our current Gaddesden club is situated not too far from Oxford!

The thought crosses my mind that we could do with a Kriegsspiel player registry similar to the one HERE that the Diplomacy community have recently established.

I would be interested in a registry like that. We could use Google Forms, which can put entries into a spreadsheet.
